APOCALYPTICA is scheduled to enter the studio in the winter, to begin recording its new album for a spring 2010 release. Cellist and composer Eicca Toppinen revealed it in an inteview with Finlands 'HardcoreSounds.net': http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DWqIyp2ztYkThe interview is helt before the band's performance at the Rockperry Festival, which was held 17 and 18 July in Vaasa, Finland. The band scored its first No. 1 rock radio hit in November with "I Don't Care", the latest single from the band's sixth studio album, "Worlds Collide". The disc has sold around a quarter million copies in the U.S. and marks the group's first significant success in this country in their 15-year career.

Finnish gothic metallers TO/DIE/FOR will enter the studio on August 6 to begin recording their sixth album, tentatively due in early 2010. Drums tracks for a total of 15 new songs are expected to be laid down during the initial sessions, which will last four days.Regarding the new material's musical direction, vocalist Jape Peratalo recently said, "We are not gonna fill new songs with guitars! (Which does not mean that there is not guitars at all!) This time we will create something new, but it will sound as TO/DIE/FOR, for sure. Main idea is that it MUST be fresh!"
