Kauan (comes deep from Russia, Chelyabinsk) started by Anton Belov and Alexander Borovich in February 2005 and up to this moment had changed their name and genre - they started as a folk-black band but now they have moved to the direction of ambient post rock.In September 2006 Lubov Mushnikova joined the band as a violin player. The band has worked with other people as well but none of them eventually fit the bands conception. During the recording of their first album some session members were invited to play cello and saxophone.

AMORPHIS
AMORPHIS is definitely one of the most successful Finnish Metal bands. Founded 1990 in Helsinki, the formation started with Death Metal, but by integrating Progressive Metal devices as well as Arab and Finnish Folk music elements, AMORPHIS extended its stylistic spectrum soon. Not for nothing, guitarist Esa Holopainen suggested that suitable band name, as it was derived from “amorphous” which is another word for “shapeless”.

RAY WILSON
Many of you may remember the Scot RAY WILSON as the lead singer of the Rock band STILTSKIN that delivered the huge hit `Inside´ in 1994. Three years later, he took on the front man role of the legendary GENESIS, after PHIL COLLINS, the famous previous voice, had left the band. Together with the other remaining members, he released the album `Calling all Stations´. In 2003, RAY WILSON put all his energy in recording his first solo album `Change´ that was followed up by the second one `The Next Best Thing´ (2004) and the third one `Propaganda Man´ (2008).

Cassandra Steen, Fetsum
Due to the current success of the recent single `Stadt´ taken from her album `Darum leben wir´, the Stuttgart-based soul singer’s name is resounding throughout the land now. However, CASSANDRA STEEN´s career has already started in the 1990s when she supported the Hip Hop formation FREUNDESKREIS by contributing her vocals. Furthermore, it was mainly CASSANDRA´s bright and soulful voice which drew the attention to the project GLASHAUS that was initiated by the successful Frankfurt producer Moses Pelham.

Cynic, The Intersphere
After the release of the groundbreaking debut album `Focus´ in 1993 it took 15 years to make the American Progressive Metal band CYNIC comeing back. Though they have been away for so many years, the second album `Traced in Air´ doesn’t have to hide behind the sensational `Focus´, as it is innovative and playful again without copying the former success patterns.
