Only two more months to go and then the motto will be again: Fill your head with rock!!!! Sweden Rock Festival will open its gates to 30,000 visitors from all over the world to show up bands from all centuries. Up from the 3-6 June there will be a huge Line- up showed on 3 main stages and 2 smaller stages. Heaven And Hell, In Flames, ZZ Top, Twisted Sister, Journey, Europe, Dream Theater, Foreigner, In Flames and Floggin Molly will headline the festival in Sweden.

You'd think this to be a late April Fool's joke, but it's not. The animal rights group Peta has requested Pet Shop Boys to change their band name. Peta (People For The Ethical Treatment Of Animals) reportedly requested that the pop duo rename themselves the 'Rescue Shelter Boys' to highlight conditions in pet shops. After a few years of total silence, the Swedish industrial act Interlace has been revived to release a limited four-track single just in time for their appearance at North America's Kinetik Festival. Released by ArtOfFact the new single features four different versions of the first new Interlace track in nearly five years. This release will be limited to only 100 copies worldwide, and 50 of these will be reserved for the Kinetik Festival. Released on Artoffact Records and available May 12th, 2009. - Details

CAIN'S OFFERING is the new Finish band around guitarist/songwriter Jani Liimatainen (ex-Sonata Arctica, ex-Altaria). On vocals Timo Kotipelto (frontman Stratovarius). The Japanese Magazine ‘BURN!!’ has an interview published with both Finish musicians and came with the official confirmation and their official website is on air as well. http://www.cainsoffering.com/ The group's debut album, "Gather The Faithful", will be released in July. Songtitles set to appear on the CD include "13th Disciple", "Stolen Waters", "More Than Friends" and "Morpheus In a Masquerade".
