SLAYER are probably the most important Trash-Metal band of all times. For about 25 years the US-quartet delivers bone-hard sound which never was outbid in its class and consequence. Since the debut ‘Show no Mercy’, Tom Araya (vocals, bass), Kerry King (guitar), Jeff Hannemann (guitar) and Dave Lombardo (drums) released nine studio albums. Within the back-catalogue are classics such as ‘Reign in Blood’, ‘South of Heaven’ or ‘Season in the Abyss’. Furthermore, the immense stage energy of SLAYER was documented with the live album ‘Decade of Aggression’. SLAYER shows still are the A and O of heavy music. Jus tin time for the satanic date 06.06.06 the band released the new single ‘Cult’ via the internet. This single is a herald of the upcoming, yet untitled album to be released soon.
Also the show of Swedish Heavy-superstars IN FLAMES is highly demanded. The common roots of Björn Gelotte (guitar), Daniel Svensson (drums), Peter Iwers (bass), Jesper Strömblad (guitar) and Anders Fridén (vocals) date back to 1990. With celebrated albums like the current masterpiece ‘Come Clarity’, the band belongs to the leaders of European Metal scene. But also und the USA and Japan the band climbs up to the top Ten. Like not many other bands, IN FLAMES bring together fans of the modern and the classic sound in front of the speakers.
The Scandinavian neighbors CHILDREN OF BODOM are nowadays the biggest Hard-rock band of Finland. Named after a famous mass murderer of their home country – See Bodominjärvi – the technically impressing Death-Trash-Speed-Punk-Metal sound of the band is nothing for milksops. Alexi Laiho (vocals, guitar), Roope Latvala (guitar), Janne Wirman (keyboard), Henkka Seppälä (bass) and Jaska Raatikainen (drum) outline their exceptional position not only with their 2005 released album ‘Are you dead yet?’.
LAMB OF GOD from Virginia / USA guaranty for always enthralling new Metal sounds. Singer Randy Blyte formed the groundbreaking Metal-core band in 1990 together with guitarists Willie Adler and Mark Morten, bassist John Campbell as well as Chris Adler on drums. Lately, their classic album ‘Burn the Priest’ has been re-released – re-worked by producer Colin Richardson (MACHINE HEAD, FEAR FACTORY).

The promising newcomer THIN EYES BLEED complete the top-class billing. Bassist of the band is no one less than brother of SLAYER’s Tom Araya: Johnny Araya and his band mates Justin Wolfe (vocals), Jeff Phillips (guitar), Derek Ward (guitar) and Darryl Stephens (drums) combine all facets of musical darkness and brutality on their debut album ‘In the Wake of Separation’. Often fast, sometimes melodic, sometimes between yelling and grunting, THINE EYES BLEED make an early appearance to duty.
