In 1982, when four long-haired Metal maniacs in Frankfurt am Main decided to start a band called TANKARD (English for beer pitcher), probably none of the participants suspected that the group would still be around three decades later. Not to mention that the band would become the spearhead of German Thrash Metal. But they still exist! And that without interruption.
In the age of countless “reunion” phantoms shooting out of the crypt for a moment, holding their hands and then falling back to dust, TANKARD relentlessly raised the flag of Thrash Metal: a respectable achievement! NOT ONE DAY DEAD! And so, in 2017, the inventors of the emancipated “Alcoholic Metal” style celebrate an almost unbelievable jubilee with their seventeenth studio album, ‘One Foot In The Grave’: We raise our tankards to 35 years of TANKARD. And in that sense, you should not miss the concert in the F-Haus!
