The occult metal heads of CRADLE OF FILTH usually don’t really need an introduction, but let’s fill this page just a tiny bit. Starting out as a traditional black metal band, CRADLE OF FILTH distinguished themselves over the years with the addition of grotesque symphonic elements and the characteristic voice of front man Dani Filth. Well known for their theatrical performances, Dani announced that this tour will be a time travel through their entire discography.
CRADLE OF FILTH shares the stage this evening with no one less than BEHEMOTH from Poland. In their early years BEHEMOTH was known as a traditional black metal band, but over the years they made a transition to brutal, razor-sharp death metal. After four years, due to the unfortunate illness of singer Nergal, BEHEMOTH has finally announced a new album called ‘The Satanist’, to be released in 2014.
No less than three bands will take care of warming up, or should I say icing up, the audience this evening. Swedish heavy metal band IN SOLITUDE has been active since 2002 and is often compared to the legendary MERCIFUL FATE. Their latest album ‘Sister’ was released in 2013 by Metal Blade Records. INQUISITION from the United States will treat the audience to some atmospheric black metal similar to the sound of IMMORTAL. And last but not least, the Norwegian black metal band SVARTTJERN will open this evening of dark extravaganza, blood, corpse paint and loudness.
