E-Tropolis Festival 2014: Suicide Commando, Die Krupps, Rotersand, Apoptygma Berzerk, Hocico, Agonoize and many more
‘Darker – harder – louder’ is the slogan of the E-Tropolis Festival which started in 2010 and offered an amazing variety of all kind of dark Electronic music. Formerly located in Berlin the festival moved after three successful years to a new venue right in the heart of the Ruhr area, North- Rhine- Westphalia. In 2014 it will take place for the first time in Oberhausen.
Fitting to the musical genre, the Turbinenhalle Oberhausen is the perfect location to make this winter festival happen, as this complex was used for the production of power and steam – pressure for the Westphalia steel industry from 1909 until 1980. It was then rebuild into a centre for cultural events during the early 1990’s and offers now two live stage, a disco area, an indoor merchant gallery and much more. Musically the E-Tropolis Festival will stick to its roots with classic EBM, Industrial, Electro- and Synth-Pop, Rhythm & Noise attacks or modern Cyber Beats and present 15 of the scene´s most popular acts worldwide accompanied by an additional party-floor with 5 DJs.
