Sonisphere Festival with Metallica, Slayer, Mastodon, Ghost
This will be the night of the year for every metal head: METALLICA are playing their only stadium concert at their "By Request" World Tour 2014 by the Sonisphere Festival in Hamburg, Germany. The special of the show: every fan, who buys his ticket online, gets the chance to vote which songs METALLICA should play that evening! A very difficult choice thinking of around 140 published songs and over 30 years of band history. The show will contain 18 songs, and only one will be chosen by the band itself. It is very possible, that it is going to be a totally new song.
METALLICA belongs to the titans of the Thrash Metal and produced some of the influential long-players of all the time. The band was founded in 1981 sometime after Lars Ulrich, drummer of the band, ran an advertisement for searching for band members and nowadays singer and guitar player James Hetfield answered on this. Two years later, Kirk Hammett joined as leading guitar and the very first album ‘Kill 'Em All’ was published. After some changes of the bass player (second one Cliff Burton died at a car accident while an Europe Tour in 1986), now former Ozzy Osbourne bass player Robert Trujillo is a fixed component of METALLICA. After all this years, with many ups and many downs, METALLICA never lost any energy when they were standing live on stage. This time they will fascinate their fans again with an explosive show. They are very excited which songs all the fans will choose and as Ulrich says, "it is always big fun".
Another metal big-size bands will perform as the opening acts. METALLICA will bring along SLAYER, another Thrash Metal band, which belongs to the "big four" of this genre in the 1980 years like METALLICA. Next to this, MASTODON, progressive metal from Atlanta, USA, and GHOST, a Swedish Heavy Metal band will make sure that it is going to be a long night of great Metal music.
