They are considered one of the most influential bands of Post Punk and Gothic Rock - now BAUHAUS are finally back on stage. Earlier this year Peter Murphy, Daniel Ash, Kevin Haskins and David J surprised their fans with ‘Drink the New Wine’, the first new music in 14 years. But that’s not all, there is the rare opportunity to see the band live at an exclusive Germany concert in the Berlin Zitadelle on August 22, 2022. Tickets are available from April 7, 2022 in the exclusive pre-sale at the KJ Ticketshop and Eventim. The general advance sale starts on April 8, 2022.
New single ‘Drink the New Wine’ was recorded in the midst of the pandemic lockdown. For this, BAUHAUS used the surrealistic method called ‘Exquisite Corpse’, a kind of random compositional principle in which all four band members contribute their part to the piece without hearing what their colleagues have recorded. They have used this technique in the past with great success. The result of the final recording was a “synchronistic revelation” for the band.
Over the decades of their band history, BAUHAUS have disbanded and reunited several times, so you better not miss the rare live revelations, you never know if it might be the last.
