Black Stone Cherry - “The Celebrate Tour 2026” - Special Guest: 10 Years
For more than two decades, it has been the powerful mix of traditional Hard Rock influences and emotional depth that makes BLACK STONE CHERRY so spectacular. The quartet from Edmonton, Kentucky combines Heavy Rock and driving guitar riffs with contemporary energy, captivating audiences worldwide.
Since their third album ‘Between The Devil And The Deep Blue Sea’ (2011), they have achieved international chart success, backed by their relentless live ethos. Their upcoming Germany tour in September 2026 will already be their third within two years, and once again they will stop in almost every region of the country. Between September 10 and 30, 2026, BLACK STONE CHERRY will perform seven shows in Stuttgart, Berlin, Munich, Frankfurt, Bochum, Hamburg, and Cologne.
It almost seems like the opposite of their raw, wild sound: in a very idyllic environment, singer and guitarist Chris Robertson, drummer John Fred Young, bassist Jon Lawhon, and guitarist Ben Wells grew up and formed BLACK STONE CHERRY in 2001. Through their parents’ record collections, they discovered their love for rock music, which runs in their blood. From classic influences such as LED ZEPPELIN, LYNYRD SKYNYRD, and AC/DC, they developed their own style: straightforward, passionate, riff-driven hard rock with a Southern touch.
In the US, BLACK STONE CHERRY have toured alongside legends such as DEF LEPPARD, MOTÖRHEAD, WHITESNAKE, and their heroes LYNYRD SKYNYRD. Their positive attitude and overflowing enthusiasm stand out especially in their uncompromising live performances. These successes pushed them to continue working even more consistently.
All of their subsequent albums - ‘Magic Mountain’ (2014), ‘Kentucky’ (2016), ‘Family Tree’ (2018), and ‘The Human Condition’ (2020) - became international hits. After experimenting with detailed track-by-track studio recording on their last album, BLACK STONE CHERRY returned to their usual approach for ‘Screamin’ at the Sky’ (2023), recording the twelve songs live in an old theatre in Kentucky. This once again captures the urgency that defines their live shows.
In mid-April, for Record Store Day worldwide, they released ‘This is Black Stone Cherry’s RSD Album. The band really likes it’, a collection of B-sides, rarities, and outtakes. And if their usual pace continues, fans can likely expect a new studio album before their September 2026 tour. All in all, there is plenty to look forward to.
