Infest is the UK’s biggest and longest-running premier festival event of alternative electronic music held on August 21-23 in Manchester, UK. Infest typically covers EBM, Industrial, rhythmic noise, synthpop, darkwave, indie and other subgenres adjacent to the Goth and Industrial scenes.
The third weekend in August welcomes the Infest Festival. It’s not just an alt music festival; it’s an adventure! It offers a variety of music for fans of various genres. It’s a gathering of like-minded people who live locally and are visiting from afar. The festival is held comfortably indoors in 3 Bars (532, Club, Academy 2). Kitchen 532 will be serving food concessions throughout the weekend. The times the kitchen is open can be seen on the schedule page.
The 2026 line-up presents popular and unique headliners covering a variety of alt genres. The full schedule is available on the Infest website. The event offers a familiar alternative atmosphere, with visitors arriving in their alt and Goth attire and makeup. Dressed to impress to enter the festival party mode. All attractions are indoors and next door to each other at the university location, which makes it very convenient and weather-proof.
On Friday, the event starts with a screening of the B-Movie: ‘Lust & Sound in West Berlin’ (film screening), followed by a Mark Reeder Live Q&A. On Saturday and Sunday, there is an Alternative Market with over 30 traders where you can shop and pick a favourite outfit or select from alternative & Gothic accessories.
The weekend includes a DJ programme, spinning the tunes into the night. There are a few activities in the form of a Charity Raffle and Auction with raffle prizes donated by artists and traders, then a Charity Tea Party and Charity Cake Sale.
The Infest Festival features a diverse mix of UK and international artists and DJs from the electronic music scene who will be selecting, mixing and performing during the entire weekend, creating a fun, adventurous and engaging festival experience. All of this activity makes the Infest Festival, taking place on August 21-23, an amazing event that you don’t want to miss!
