Review Flash

Melodic guitar rock seems to fit best as a description, balanced somewhere within the intersection of BUSH, NICKLEBACK and SILVERCHAIR. The songs own that particular charming mixture of a rough, externally cooled surface, that covers tons of emotion and vulnerability, distorted guitars and heartaches. Unfortunately there´s not much more to expect, not much more, what causes a slight case of repetition, assonance and flatness just after a handful of tracks. It´s not the missing ambition of the musicians (‘Monosound’ is technically well done, especially for an debut), but the threesome from Switzerland seems to lack a willingness of acting off the beaten track. The songs are too predictable, too straight-lined in the fairway for keeping your attention further than half the way.

Conclusion: A solid guitar rock album with a lot of distorted guitars and a lot of energy and emotion. It sounds honest and workmanlike, but lacks of arcs of suspense and outstanding highlights.
