MERRIMACK is a French Black Metal band, who plays a very raw, heavy and monotonous yet elaborate music. With their most recent work, ‘The Acausal Mass’, they develop their style even further and combine complex song structures with harsh riffs, brutal vocals and some unusual, pulsating melodies. The mood varies between depressive and aggressive, at times also resulting in an interesting blend. Furthermore, the album uncovers various layers after several spins.
