Band-head Blake Judd is mostly known for his works with NACHTMYSTIUM or TWILIGHT. With HATE MEDITATION, he introduces a further Black Metal project. On ‘Scars’, mid-tempo Black Metal is presented, with a lot of interesting twists and turns. Not every nuance becomes clear after the first listen, which is also influenced by the rather basic and raw sound of the album. Yet, fans of his work and demanding, multilayer Black Metal will surely be pleased with this piece of bizarre beauty.
Conclusion: Raw and bizarre, yet highly interesting.
