Formed 2001 in Athens / Greece by 16 year old Nick Melissourgos, this thrash metal band came to join the ranks of their heroes SLAYER, SEPULTURA, SACRED REICH and FORBIDDEN. Between 2002 and 2004 the band released three demos and since 2007 they released five full-fledged albums, not to mention that these lunatics toured their asses off with the likes of KATAKLSYM, EXODUS and DEATH ANGEL. This January, the SUICIDAL ANGELS will deliver their sixth album named ‘Divide and Conquer’. Listening to this very album I once again think I am listening to early SLAYER with a European touch/ phrasing reminding me of KREATOR’s recent work. All in all I must confess that I really dig this record and would like to see them life as soon as it is possible.
Conclusion: This record is a nice look back to the bay area thrash of the 1980s only that these guys hail from Greece not Florida, USA. Listen to this band! Listen to the SUICIDAL ANGELS and buy this record!
