On ‘Morbid Ascent’, GRAVE offer two previously unreleased song, two remixes and a cover of the SATYRICON title ‘Possessed’. The cover is especially interesting, since the song works very well as a Death Metal track and grooves a lot. ‘Morbid Ascent’ and ‘Venial Sin’ are solid Death Metal tracks, which vary between fast and slower passages. Yet, an EP is obviously only an appetizer for forthcoming albums and mostly recommended for die-hard fans of the band.
Conclusion: Solid Death Metal with excellent SATYRICON cover!
