PET THE PREACHER is stoner band that was formed in 2010 in Copenhagen, Denmark by vocalist/ guitarist Christian Hede Madsen, bassist Torben Wæver Pedersen and drummer Christian Von Larsen. At first the band was named MEET THE CREATURE, under this name they recorded their first output ‘The Banjo’ this attracted Napalm Records and they signed the band. The band’s sound is blues and stoner rock oriented, MONSTER MAGNET or CLUTCH come to mind when listening to PET THE PREACHER (and yeah I like it a lot). The debut was recorded in studio with everyone playing together just like in a concert situation (which is old-school and badass at the same time) only the vocals were added after the recording of the instruments.
Conclusion: I enjoyed listening to PET THE PREACHER quite a lot and so should you my dear readers, just listen to a few songs and then buy the goddamn album or do something else entirely... arrrr
