Review Flash

The next band on this channel comes from Norway and was assembled in the year 2014, the name is PERFECT NME and they are a really rough and strange kick in the nuts. On the one side this is nothing short of Thrash Metal on the other side there are moments I get pleasantly surprised by vocalist Colin Emery’s versatile vocal chords and his well-thought-out use of them. We have ballad-like songs in one moment and a sucker punch in the nuts in the next moment (just what this old metal heart needs to beat a bit faster). ‘Murder of Crows’ is the band’s first LP and I can say if the direction stays there are big things to happen for these five guys from Norway. The six-string duty is well executed by Grinmes and Graven (there are moments of MEGADETH vibes here and there but mostly they sound melodic and a bit NWOBHM influenced from time to time). ‘Shadow of Doubt’ even reminds me of IRON MAIDEN in the chorus. A strange breed indeed...

Conclusion: This varies from Teutonic to US thrash and even dips a toe into the NWOBHM, check PERFECT NME out they rip!

Rating: 7 / 10
