Review Flash

UK band DETRITUS was formed in 1989, the year the Berlin Wall fell; Andy Bright (drums), Andy Neal (guitars), Paul Newington Wise (guitars) and Mark Broomhead (vocals, bass) came together and DETRITUS was born. It took the band almost 30 years to come back after the 1993 release ‘If but for One’ but the wait was worth it (Ok, ‘Bloodstained Glass’ is a Nu-Metal kick in the nuts which prevented a better rating). The rest of the record is bloody lovely (the synth sounds are unnecessary as fuck but the vocals and the riffs are dope). Aside from ‘Pharisee’ and ‘Bloodstained Glass’ this is a dope sign of life from DETRITUS.

Conclusion: If you can bear to listen to synth sounds in your daily dose of thrash you might dig this, if not avoid the mentioned songs.

Rating: 6 / 10
