CORONARY hail from Finland, the land of berries and milk (at least when it comes to traditional food). The band was formed in 2017 and they are based in Tampere. 2018 saw a demo and a split, 2021 finally sees the band’s debut LP ‘Sinbad’. Musically CORONARY are more on the classic rock-oriented side of heavy music, not that they don’t know how to rock, they just feel more comfortable with being a melodic band that sounds more like Hard Rock than Speed or Thrash (always good to know where you stand taste-wise). When it comes to bands that are similar in sound and energy, I would say AC/DC, BÜRNER, ACCEPT or ROSE TATTOO. The riffs are decent and the drumming hits all of my buttons. If you, like me, are stuck in the sound of the olden days: this might be the band for you!
Conclusion: Old-school as fuck, like the 80s? If so, check them out!
