At this moment in time there is not much known about BLACK REVELATION aside from them being from Germany and playing kick-ass classic Doom Metal in the vein of bands like CANDLEMASS, REVEREND BIZARRE and CRYPT SERMON. Sound-wise BLACK REVELATION plays classic and very theatrical Doom Metal, the vocals are tenor like and rather deep (a little goth note here and there). The riffs and hooks are, just like the drums and bass, more of a stage for the vocals yet still more than just simple background. There are even moments when the vocalist’s timbre reminds me of Hansi Kürsch of BLIND GUARDIAN (always lovely). All in all, this is a very decent Doom release that will surely find an audience among those thousands of Doom-hungry headbangers.
Conclusion: Well played and melodic, just like I need it. Check it out!
