Review Flash

The upsides of being a writer for an online magazine like Reflections of Darkness definitely is that I tend to get LOTS of free stuff, OK most of it is in the form of MP3s but good music is good music no matter the medium. I made the acquaintance of DYNAMATION over my socials and got lucky getting my hands on the CD. DYNAMATION is multi-instrumentalist Reno Becker (who happened to write all the music too) and vocalist Thomas Meusel who wrote all lyrics. DYNAMATION was formed in 2012 and ‘Paranormal Isolation’ is their full-length debut. Death Metal-wise there is not much new about the way these guys sound or play but how they do it is pretty solid especially when you think about this as a two-man project. So, what have we got here? Decent growls, heavy riffing, mid to up-tempo compositions and a tight bass / drum interaction. There is no song that stand out for me but that is due to the fact that I am not the specialist when it comes to Death Metal.

Conclusion: Nicely executed hammer strikes to the forehead, musically spoken.
