FUELED BY FEAR is a Swiss wrecking crew that was assembled in 2011. FUELED BY FEAR already have some remarkable gigs under their collective belt, they toured with SEPULTURA and FEAR FACTORY and played at the Greenfield Festival in Interlaken alongside acts like MOTÖRHEAD, IN FLAMES and HEAVEN SHALL BURN. I don’t know all that much about Metalcore but FUELED BY FEAR do sound more like a Thrash Metal infused Groove Metal band to me, the overall sound lacks what I, maybe falsely, identify with Metalcore: the interchanging vocal styles that vary between harsh and clean. OK this sounds a bit more modern to me but not in a bad way at all, most of this is pretty brutal. The riffs are thick and heavy as fuck, the bass is not only audible but pretty important to the overall sound of the band and the drums are on point without being dominant in any way. The vocals are raw as fuck too, part controlled and part unleashed but with a tight as fuck sound to it.
Conclusion: One more neck breaker before years end, support these guys!
