On day 3 of Devilside Festival, the action moved to the indoor arena of Turbinenhalle for unknown reasons. The weather would've been just perfect to celebrate another day in the sun. Then again, it was Sunday and who knows who'd complained about the noise eventually. From that perspective, maybe it was better to play it safe....

Batschkapp, Frankurt, Germany
10th July 2012
Thin Lizzy, Pussy Sisster
Yet another evening where "the boys" served hundreds of Rock fans with their classic rock songs. Even a workday Tuesday evening could not restrain THIN LIZZY-supporters in and around Frankfurt/main to come to the venue. Some of them even came a long way from all over the republic. And nobody had to regret it - the Irish rockers gave the full dose of Rock'n'Roll to everybody who joined them in the Batschkapp!

Hörnerfest Open Air, Brande-Hörnerkirchen, Germany
6th - 7th July 2012
Hörnerfest: Thorondir, Black Magic Fools, Zwielicht, Northland, Dunkelschön, Rabenschrey, Rapalje, Feurschwanz, Aletrun, Remember Twilight, Ingrimm, Fejd, Black Messiah, Ignis Fatuu, Versengold, Fireshow - Arne Feurschlund and friends, Russkaya
This was my first time at a German festival, but what a welcome I received when we landed at Brande Hörnerkirchen near Hamburg. Everyone was beyond friendly despite my less than perfect German and we found ourselves a nice camping spot in the section of the field roped off for staff and those working like ourselves. The line-up for the next two days were exciting and well thought out and after trying out the bar on the Thursday evening and finding the German beer good and cold we waited with anticipation for the next day's bands.
