Timo Kotipelto & Netta Skog - “Acoustic Harmonies”
Timo Kotipelto (STRATOVARIUS, CAIN’S OFFERING) and Netta Skoog (Ex-ENSIFERUM) teamed up again to play a series of acoustic concerts. I had seen them with Pekka Heino and Jani Liimatainen in Hämeenlinna back in 2019 and as soon as the gig was announced, I was determined to cover the show, as the show in Hämeenlinna had been one of the best acoustic shows I ever witnessed.

OMD - “Atmospheric and Greatest Hits”
OMD need no introduction, they have provided electronic KRAFTWERK-inspired sounds for several decades after coming to many fans attention supporting GARY NUMAN on the 1979 “Touring Principle” UK Tour. This was the first night of two at the prestigious Royal Albert Hall in London.

Wardruna & Jo Quail
Tonight I had the pleasure of going to see WARDRUNA play their Nordic delights by the River Thames at the Royal Festival Hall. For those of you that don’t know, the venue is part of a sprawling and architecturally brutalist complex on the south side of the river that was built during the early 1950s to house the Festival Of Britain. It is located on the left side of the Waterloo Bridge approach and consists of The Hayward Gallery and The Purcell Rooms. The last time I saw a gig here was around 23 years ago when Brian Ferry played.

A.A. Williams & Support: Jo Quail
Lafayette is a fairly new venue around the back of Kings Cross Station near to Granary Square. I’ve no idea how long it’s been there, a year maybe, but when I got the chance to go see JO QUAIL support A.A. WILLIAMS at the venue I jumped at the chance.

When a pandemic is all over the world. When border crossing is not as easy as it seems. When the arrival of foreign bands is not such a frequent event. When you want concerts and partying... It’s time to get acquainted with local bands at local events. And there are worthy young musicians with good potential among those. Miracles do happen, even though these miracles are created by musicians.
