Dark Spring Festival 2019 with Giant Waves, The Foreign Resort, Whispers In The Shadow, GoldenApes, Children On Stun, Then Comes Silence
There’s an extra flurry of excitement surrounding Berlin’s DARK SPRING FESTIVAL 2019, as it marks the ten year anniversary of this assured, one day event. The excellent Bi Nuu club proved to be the perfect venue again, it had even had a bit of a facelift, and a credit to all who worked at the club on the night, to make it smooth running, good natured and professional yet relaxed and casual. Six bands were chosen for this special night, and as always they offered both geographical and musical diversity…

Project Pitchfork - “Akkretion” Tour 2019 - Special Guest: Faderhead
PROJECT PITCHFORK is one of the most active bands out there: the “Akkretion” tour started about a year ago with the first leg and the release of ‘Akkretion’, the first part of a trilogy. The second release, ‘Fragment’, followed in October 2018 as well as the next tour leg. So just a few months later the third tour leg continued the journey, starting in Oberhausen on the 1st March and with a final show taking place in Dresden, at Alter Schlachthof. This spring 2019 tour leg was supported by FUTURE LIED TO US, but for the last gig in Dresden this slot has been filled by FADERHEAD who already joined PROJECT PITCHFORK on tour in autumn 2018.

Das Ich & Retrojunkies
The team of the Schwarzlicht party invited to celebrate its 15th birthday with a live special - DAS ICH and their support RETROJUNKIES were invited to celebrate. Though the birthday celebration was an awesome reason to come together, it was also a sad one. As the organizers announced it was going to be the last Schwarzlicht party at Fundbureau, at least for the time being. Nevertheless it was going to be a very special, great night.

Perturbator
As a big-time Cyberpunk genre fan, it is no wonder that I came across PERTURBATOR’s video ‘Venger’ some time ago. Fierce (perhaps due to the Black Metal past), electronic and danceable music was hard to miss. As a composer, James Kent gets energy and mix of energy and melody in a very good balance and is not capitalizing just rhythm side; perhaps I would call his compositions not only suitable for a dance floor but also for a movie soundtrack.

The Neal Morse Band
NEAL MORSE is an American singer, multi-instrumentalist, bandleader and progressive Rock composer based in Nashville, Tennessee. In 1992, he formed the Progressive Rock band SPOCK’S BEARD with his brother Alan and released an album which was moderately successful. In 2002, NEAL MORSE became a born again Christian, left SPOCK’S BEARD and began a Christian Rock solo career, releasing many Progressive Rock concept albums about his new religious faith. In the meantime, he continued to play with TRANSATLANTIC and formed three new bands with Portnoy, YELLOW MATTER CUSTARD, FLYING COLORS and THE NEAL MORSE BAND.
