Album Review
DIABOLO SWING ORCHESTRA is a Swedish metal act having formed in 2003 and to this day their music has spread like wild fire erupting into becoming the band's second LP in the making. ‘Sing-Along Songs for the Damned & Delirious’ is the name and 10-tracks are the game to play when listening through this follow-up album. The series of tunes offered has a wide arrangement of musical effects that tend to linger here and there; for instance ‘Lucy Fears the Morning Star’, ‘New World Widows’ along with ‘Memoirs of a Roadkill’ burst off into being a round-up of tunes that never get old.
The music plays itself out piece by piece creating a flowing sensation that builds the music, instrumentally speaking taking a more advanced step in creating this thundering riffs and break-through solos, while the vocal chords simply fall into place. Each one of these songs being carefully laid out, building up a catchy upbeat sense that tends to overlap the music altogether. In short, the music clashes against each other the lyrics overpowering the instruments to create a twisting effect that blends it all together in a formula that showcases the “extreme” side of metal.
