EP Review

The seven-piece collective, hailing from Remis in France released with ‘Hard To Cry’ their new EP; heralding the first full length planned for autumn. That 3-Track EP starts with the title track and partially overlapping vocal parts sung over acoustic guitar. Then the song changes its tempo at some point and about three minutes into the song, the drums kick in and harder indie guitars take over. Nice build actually. Plays vividly with louder and softer sections! ‘I’m In Slim’ spreads a bright mood right from the start and as the drums emerge invites to rock along. Third and last song ‘Out Of Myself’ leaves too prominent drums by the wayside and instead relies on rhythmic percussion play and organ to embellish the acoustic centre. Playing time of the EP is much too short, but the tracks itself are promising. Should be interesting to hear how they’re doing on a full-length.
