The number of bands referring to OOMPH!, RAMMSTEIN, MEGAHERZ or EISBRECHER are uncountable nowadays. But there’s a fine line between an adorable ode that is worth to listen to or just a cheap imitation. For the bar is set very high, there’s a lot of things that could go wrong… and the question is whether HERZPARASIT is capable to hint at the great idols while keeping a certain originality. Being support to such big acts as OOMPH!, J.B.O. and JENNIFER ROSTOCK or MEGAHERZ and STAHLMANN shows in an impressive way that HERZPARASIT already caused a stir in the musical business without calling a release their own. In fact, the guys gained a certain fan community by promoting their material on YouTube and other social networks.
However, their debut ‘Fromme Lämmer’ seems to be an inconsiderable release at first sight - especially if you judge a book by its cover. Despite the outward appearance, the debut contains powerful rock and definitely a huge load of NDH reminding of the bands mentioned above. Although the lyrics could be a little bit more ambitious, HERZPARASIT just not happens to be a cheap imitation. The diversified musical structures are proof of an originality and show that those guys try to run their own path amongst the pioneers of their genre. The variety of great riffs, electronic parts and impulsive drums parts combined with distinctive vocals cause a release that could be described as… audiolicious! Give it a try!
