The Swedish cult band THE MOBILE HOMES are celebrating their 25th anniversary and send out the new single ‘I’m phoning a friend and he says that’ as a harbinger for the new album ‘Today is your lucky Day’ due for a release in early 2009.
And the track is one that is pushing you right back into the good old 80s with caressing warm melody washes and tiny little absolutely authentic analogue sounding beats and a polyphonic male/female vocals blended with a lovely small piano melody in the last half of the song. Classical yet still fresh 80s influenced synth pop as we love it. The album can be released now. ;-)
