What do you get when you put in a blender CHRISTIAN DEATH’s ‘This Is Heresy’ along with elements of the Swedish electronic scene, and the raw power of bands such as DAF? The result will certainly be the VANLIGT FOLK (“The Common People”). In their debut EP the band manages to establish itself over the worn-out scene and to kick out some jams. Up till now the band had gained some reputation mostly due to some festivals and this release shows the reasons why. It is alternative in the meaning of being experimental without declaring openly so. More than that, it is certainly an experiment that bears the considerable fruits of innovation and freshness.
