Depeche Mode, Nitzer Ebb
May it be really interesting to visit three almost identical concerts of the same band? I would say it depends to a large extent on a band itself, and if we take into consideration that all three shows were played by DEPECHE MODE, a legendary formation indeed, it will become obvious why many fans from different parts of Russia, and not only Russia, went to St. Petersburg, then Moscow and finally Kiev to get the most out of the performances of their idols.

30th January 2010
End of Green, Undertow
Southern Germany's “Depressed Subcore” darlings END OF GREEN are playing the last show of their “The Sick's Sense” tour throughout their home country, so I'm not really surprised that the Longhorn in Stuttgart is pretty crowded, especially a lot of emo and Goth kids seem to have made their way there. The five congenial musicians are planning to enter the studio once again during the next months and to work on the follower of their 2008 long-player the tour is named after. So this evening probably provides the last chance to experience END OF GREEN live on stage for quite a while, and given their enormous abilities as a live-band, we will surely miss them and hope to at least see them on one festival or another in summer.

Draconian, Eden, Voiceless Void
In November 2008, Swedish Gothic-Doom-Metal formation DRACONIAN gained popularity among Russian fans of the style and of course after such a hearty welcome they had in Russia, the musicians needed to come back. Indeed they did it on the 30th of January 2010, so the audience had an opportunity to know better the music of the band and to enjoy new version of the well-known songs. The event started with the performances of two supporting bands, namely VOICELESS VOID and EDEN. These representatives of Russian Gothic-Metal scene produced a fairly good impression and managed to heat up the people in the venue almost in no time.

10 Years Empire of Darkness with Agonoize and surprise act Diary of Dreams
For the Matrix club in Bochum, this night was a special night, as they could celebrate 10 years of the very popular EoD party series the other day. For that, they’ve invited the blood lusty trio AGONOIZE and a then-unknown secret guest. But putting AGONOIZE on the bill already was enough to draw an incredible number of people to the club forming the longest queue I’ve ever seen lining up in front of that club.

Hypocrisy & Survivors Zero
On a cold winter’s evening, only few people dared to wait in front of the Colos-Saal too early before the doors would open. It was not until half past seven, roughly forty minutes after the doors opened, that the venue started to get more crowded. Places in the front row could comfortably be secured as well as T-Shirts or drinks picked up before the first band started. In the meanwhile, the Colos-Saal “entertained” the audience with their advertisement for future gigs, unfortunately many of them somehow not fitting the general taste in music. Nevertheless, punctually at eight o’ clock SURVIVORS ZERO entered the stage.
