Aux Animaux & Support: This Eternal Decay, Another Tale

AUX ANIMAUX is a Darkwave artist from Stockholm, Sweden, whose music draws inspiration from the Darkwave and Gothic bands of the 1980s, as well as occultism and classic horror cinema.

Born and raised in Istanbul, AUX ANIMAUX is a self-taught musician who spent several years working as a professional bass guitarist before relocating to Sweden. She writes, produces, and mixes all of her own music, maintaining complete creative control over every release.

On stage, she performs as both vocalist and multi-instrumentalist, alternating between bass guitar and the theremin - an instrument she considers her personal source of magic. As the only instrument played entirely without physical contact, the theremin has become one of the defining elements of her unmistakable live performances.

AUX ANIMAUX released her first music in 2017. Her debut EP, ‘Black Holes’, featured politically charged songs addressing animal rights, feminism, and social criticism. Its successor, ‘Stockholm Synthrome’, expanded on those themes while becoming more personal, including songs inspired by her decades-long struggle with misophonia. In early 2022, she released ‘The Hydesville Episode’, a concept EP steeped in the atmosphere of classic horror film soundtracks.

Later that year came ‘Hauntology’, featuring four original songs alongside four remixes by Tobias Bernstrup, PRIEST, MAJESTOLUXE, and AUX ANIMAUX herself. At the end of 2023, she released her debut full-length album, ‘Body Horror’, through Manic Depression Records. Entirely written, produced, and mixed by AUX ANIMAUX, the album was mastered by Doruk Öztürkcan of SHE PAST AWAY, with whom she has also toured extensively.

Over the past several years, AUX ANIMAUX has shared the stage with acclaimed artists including SHE PAST AWAY, THE SOFT MOON, THEN COMES SILENCE, KONTRAVOID, BUZZ KULL, TRAITRS, PATRIARCHY, and DAF, further establishing herself as one of the most distinctive voices in today’s Darkwave scene.

THIS ETERNAL DECAY is an Industrial Darkwave project founded by Riccardo Sabetti (SPIRAL69), Andrea Freda (SPIRITUAL FRONT), and Alessio Schiavi (AVANT-GARDE). Their music combines the romantic atmosphere of Darkwave with driving Industrial rhythms and shimmering Synthpop elements, creating a sound that is both immersive and emotionally powerful.

Their debut album, ‘I Choose an Eternity of This’, released through Trisol Music Group, quickly attracted the attention of both critics and audiences. Only two months after its release, the band embarked on a tour through Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, sharing the stage twice with SAMSAS TRAUM.

Their second album, released in 2020, featured a collaboration with THEN COMES SILENCE, while their third record, ‘NOCTURNÆ’, included remixes by ACTORS, ASH CODE, WISBORG, and A COPY FOR COLLAPSE. Widely acclaimed by critics, the album appeared on numerous year-end lists celebrating the finest Darkwave releases of the year.

Following the release of their next album in 2023, THIS ETERNAL DECAY performed at the 30th Wave-Gotik-Treffen before embarking on an extensive European tour of more than 30 shows, including appearances at renowned festivals such as Castle Party, Prague Gothic Treffen, and Return to the Batcave.

Their latest chapter began with ‘SPETTRO’, the band’s current album, which has kept them on an almost continuous European tour since January 2025. Early that same year, they also performed at Grend for the very first time. With their relentless touring schedule and powerful live performances, THIS ETERNAL DECAY continue to strengthen their reputation as one of the most active and compelling live acts in today’s Darkwave and Industrial scene.

German Gothic Rock band ANOTHER TALE was founded in 1988 by Frank Peter Hermsen, DT Hügen, and Horst Leis as an experimental project under the name SONGS ABOUT DREAMS AND TEARS. Today, ANOTHER TALE ranks among Germany’s longest-standing and most respected Gothic Rock bands. Their music blends Darkwave, Gothic Rock, and Alternative Rock into a rich atmospheric sound defined by melancholic melodies and deeply introspective lyrics.

Between 1990 and 1995, the band released the albums ‘Nightmare Voices’, ‘Into The Dawn’, and ‘Chords In Blue’ through the independent label Hyperium Records. In the years that followed, additional releases appeared on the band’s own label, Twentyseconds Music Productions. A devastating turning point came on 21 December 2002, when vocalist and lyricist Frank Peter Hermsen passed away following a serious illness.

In 2016, musicians from different eras of the band’s history reunited to revive ANOTHER TALE. Since then, they have appeared at numerous festivals, including Castle Rock Festival, Near Castle Festival, Dark Skies Over Witten, Unüberhörbar Festival, and, in 2023, the Corrosion Festival in the United Kingdom. The 2022 release ‘PastPresent’ celebrated the band’s legacy with newly recorded versions of classic songs, previously unreleased material, and two brand-new tracks, ‘Gone’ and ‘More Of You’.

In April 2025, ANOTHER TALE released their latest single, ‘Spiders Come Out At Night’. The song was mixed by acclaimed producer Stephen Carey, renowned for his work with THE EDEN HOUSE, NFD, and RHOMBUS, whose signature production style brings exceptional depth, atmosphere, and dramatic intensity to the track.
