La-Ventura
For their first gig of 2008, the Dutch rock/metal band La-Ventura chose the world capital of the diamonds, Antwerp, in a place called PandDemonium, a genuine gothic café, situated right in the middle of the old city centre, just a few steps away from the main square and the city hall. The band gave an acoustic concert in the afternoon, followed by a signing session and a photo shoot in the old city. The full concert started later at 20h30 in front of an enthousiastic audience that had filled the small room of the Panddemonium. Between 50 and 100 people were present to discover or support this new female fronted alternative metal band. Organisation: Sunshine Concerts.

Sono
When I saw the band for the first time in Krefeld, I was very impressed by their live performance and so I couldn’t resist when I was asked if I wanted to go to another concert. And so, I was looking forward to see the band again, this time at the Zeche Carl in Essen.

Tarja Turunen
When Floor called me to ask me if I was interested in going to the Tarja gig in Melkweg the only thing I could say was: YES! I always liked Tarja as a singer for Nightwish, so I was really curious to see her live and solo.

Therion, The Vision Bleak
As a guest of Therion this tour I had been to a couple of shows already; Antwerpen and Amsterdam. Both were great as usual, but to this show I was really looking forward! It was the last show of the tour and, as already announced on the website, it was promised to be a very special show. Therion invited a couple of extra special guests to the last show: Mats Levén, Piotr Wawrzeniuk, Messiah Marcolin and belly dancer Arien.

Therion, The Vision Bleak
Early on this freezing Monday evening the Melkweg was full of metal fans. First The Vision Bleak and then Therion. Sirenia would have been there as well, but due to the departure of their singer this was cancelled. It was a special show for Therion because they were celebrating their 20th anniversary.
