Apocalyptica, Larcrimas Profundere
It was a very cold evening but tonight the 013 in Tilburg would be heated up by five men from Finland. With their fierce cello's and thundering drums. The venue was incredibly full. Even the balconies were filled up. If you were too late... all good spots were taken. And I was late, on my way to the concert there had been an accident and thus I had to miss Lacrimas Profundere. That is why there is no extensive report on their performance.

At a cold evening in Kreuzberg, Berlin, people had gathered to enjoy a concert of the beautiful EMILIE AUTUMN. This audience was open and glamorous for a change - as compared to the K17 audience. But the glamour comes with being among EMILIE AUTUMN fans, of course. A lot of them really made an effort of looking fabulous, in which most indeed succeeded - it must be said, that the most glamorous were generally also the youngest, about 14-17, I would say. Altogether, the audience was very mixed in age and looks, but definitely all Goth. Pretty early the first few meters in front of the stage were already filled with the die-hard fans, who didn’t move away until the end of the concert.

Dark Dance Treffen 24: Gothika; Bloody, Dead & Sexy; Diorama; Funker Vogt
This issue of the Dark Dance Treffen was not only the 24th but also the 7th anniversary of an event that lures people from every direction to Lahr every three months. It was hellish cold at the time we arrived at the venue and we had to wait some time to finally get into the warm again. We took our positions in the first row and waited for the things to come...

Tarja Turunen & Delain
She is the brightest star of Finnish Rock scene. Sopranos TARJA TURUNEN managed in a very short time to become one of the best known personalities if Finnish music scene; as solo artist, as classic singer or within her past band NIGHTWISH her charm makes her the most famous singer for lots of Metal fans around the globe. So far, TARJA sang in front of more than 500,000 people. Several of her songs and videos are played in TV and radio worldwide. Now, the charismatic singer is back on stages with a new solo studio album. This December evening, she played in the Live-Music-Hall in Cologne, supported by Dutch female fronted Metal band DELAIN.

The Archeon Midwinter Fair
This year it was already the fifth midwinter fair in the Archeon. Time flies when you’re having fun I guess. The fair was well visited again this year, the parking lot was full and so was the enormous field on the other side of the road. The entire Archeon had been changed in to a large gothic and fantasy organized market, workshop and festival.
