At the excellent Summer's End Festival, I had the pleasure of interviewing one of my favourite artists backstage, the infamous TEUFEL from TANZWUT along with his new guitarist Martin! Elektrostat is the biggest electro / alternative music festival in Norway. Located in Oslo, it’s been attracting fans since 1999 with an excellent choice of bands. On this year’s edition being held on 1st October 2010, also CLAN OF XYMOX was listed on the bill. Chibi (vocals) of The Birthday Massacre
The darlings of an international community are back with a new album. Initially planned for a release in 2009 already, the next long player of THE BIRTHDAY MASSACRE was given a little more time to be worked on and finally yesterday, the new piece titled ‘Pins And Needles’ has been released to the public. Alexander Veljanov of Deine Lakaien
DEINE LAKAIEN have been around for some twenty five years now and have been responsible for some thirteen albums as diverse in style as anyone could imagine. Consisting of German / Macedonian Alexander Veljanov on vocals and Ernst Horn, classical conductor and pianist, they have trodden an unusual path of experimental Dark Wave / Gothic which have led them to be all at once rejoiced and reviled by sectors of the media. I managed to catch half an hour with Alexander to discuss all things DEINE LAKAIEN earlier this month.
