Following earlier announcements of OZZY OSBOURNE & FRIENDS and GUNS N’ ROSES as headliners for Friday 22 and Sunday 24 June respectively, we are proud to announce that LIMP BIZKIT has agreed to fill the remaining headlining slot on Saturday 23 June.

With record sales in excess of thirty million copies, LIMP BIZKIT are one of the most successful American rock bands of the new millennium. The band around vocalist Fred Durst came to prominence in 1998 with the release of the single Nookie and a slot on the Ozzfest tour. A worldwide breakthrough soon followed with the release of the band’s sophomore album Significant Other. Their poignant combination of punk, rock, rap and metal put them in the same league as nu-metal giants Korn, leading to endless comparisons between both bands. Follow-up Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water brought more of the same and LK record sales soared as the album topped the charts in Belgium and the Netherlands. Limp Bizkit will close the second festival day and their set will feature material from their new album Gold Cobra.

Graspop regulars will certainly remember SLASH’s legendary solo concert at GMM2010 with the master himself in top form and a stellar performance by singer Myles Kennedy. Slash teamed up with Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators for the follow-up to his 2010 debut Slash. Apocalyptic Love is scheduled for a May release and we can’t wait to hear the new stuff live.
By the way, Slash is in for a busy weekend since he’ll also be joining the Prince of Darkness on stage for the Ozzy Osbourne & Friends gig. Come to mention it, there’s even more good news from the Ozzy front. Apart from Slash, the multi-talented Zakk Wylde will also make a contribution to Ozzy’s headlining show. On top of that, there’s also Zakk’s own band BLACK LABEL SOCIETY to look forward to!

Formed in 1995, GODSMACK is the brainchild of singer/songwriter Sully Erna. Thanks to the combination of Erna’s ominous singing style and the band’s riff-laden metal with influences ranging from Alice In Chains to Sabbath, Pantera and Led Zeppelin, the band quickly outgrew the local Boston club scene. Before long, they embarked on their first headlining tour and secured a slot on the 1999 Ozzfest tour. The band is extremely popular stateside, with three consecutive No 1 albums to prove it. Early in the new millennium, support slots for Metallica and Limp Bizkit helped Godsmack grow a European fan base and the band’s popularity has been increasing ever since. On Twitter and Facebook the fans have been clamouring for European tour dates for some time and this summer they’re getting just what they asked for. With the release of a new EP of cover songs and a new live album just around the corner, European Godsmack fans are in for a treat.

Also confirmed: ALL SHALL PERISH and BEHEMOTH. LAGWAGON and YOUNG GUNS have cancelled their appearance at GMM2012.
