On 22.02.2014 the E-tropolis Festival is about to return, playing for the first time in the new location, the Turbinenhalle Oberhausen. „Better – harder – louder“ than the rest, 15 bands on two stages plus 6 djs are about to create a storm of electronic music. Acts like APOPTYGMA BERZERK, DIE KRUPPS, SUICIDE COMMANDO, HOCICO, AGONOIZE, ROTERSAND and many others guarantee for large stylistic variety. From electro-pop and EBM up to heavy industrial sounds you can expect a bold selection of finest electronic music. Delivering the perfect frame for the musical offerings and a winter festival the Turbinenhalle adds the proper ambiance with its authentic history, rooted deeply in the heart of the German steel industry.This might be one of the reasons why the new location has been received so well. At least the particular demand for original tickets has gone far beyond our expectations. Eventually our shop was forced to reorder original tickets a couple of weeks ago to keep up the supply. It´s not too unlikely that the final batch tickets might get in short supply during the final days as well. Thanks for this incredible support! In order to give you a better sense of orientation at the new venue, we would like to shed light on some important organizational matters, as some of them are handled a bit differently in Oberhausen in comparison to Berlin.
PARKING
Sufficient parking spaces will be available directly at the Turbinenhalle. For every event the owner of the venue raises a parking fee of 3,00 € per vehicle. The fee will be paid directly at your arrival to the parking stewards.
VOUCHERS / GASTRONOMY
Inhouse services and gastronomy at the Turbinenhalle are handled by a voucher system. Vouchers (like for food and drinks) need to be purchased at a dedicated voucher station („Bons“) in the foyer and can be redeemed at the bars and gastro-stations (except for the mead bar). Each voucher has a value of 1,25 €.
WARDROBE / LOCKERS
Instead of the usual wardrobe, the Turbinenhalle provides almost 3000 lockers for individual storage. You can rent a locker with 2 vouchers (2,50 €) and a 5,00 € pledge (in cash) for the key. The pledge will be refunded when you return the locker-key. Vouchers are available at the voucher station in the foyer. The handling of keys and pledges takes place at the wardrobe desk.
ABOUT LEAVING THE VENUE TEMPORARILY
When you enter the venue for the first time, the security personnel devaluates your ticket. From 3:00 pm it is possible to leave the hall. To get back in, you need an exit-wristband, which you can collect after 3:00 pm from the security on the exit.

BOX OFFICE HOURS
For thos who want to visit the festival on short notice, we hold a contingent of tickets available at the venue´s box office for an increased price. Box office hours are 1:00 pm till 11:00 pm.
ORDERING TICKETS ONLINE & PRINT@HOME SERVICE
The last day to order original E-tropolis tickets at the official ticketshop www.etropolis-festival.de/tickets is 17.02.2014. Important: to process your order, we require the payment to have arrived until 21.02.2014. An alternative to the original tickets from the shop are the regular E-tropolis tickets, available at all nationwide EVENTIM box offices or over the print @ home service of www.eventim.de until 21.02.2014.
OFFICIAL PRE-PARTY @ KULTTEMPEL OBERHAUSEN
While the festival´s own party offerings appear reinforced with a bigger line-up, we are also delighted to announce the first official E-tropolis pre-party, hosted by Kulttempel Oberhausen. Before doors of the Turbinenhalle open on Saturday, the nearby “Kulttempel”-club will turn Friday night, 21.02., into an official pre-opening extravaganza. A special E-tropolis edition of the “Sleepwalker Night” with DJ Elvis, DJ Frank Ahdafi and guests begins at 10:00 pm. For attendants with E-tropolis festival ticket admission is 3,00 €, without festival ticket it´s 5,00 €. Tickets for the party are available at the door only.
