On February 12th and 13th Frostfeuernächte will take place for the second time. This new Metal Festival has its home south of Berlin idyllically located near the Hölzernen See (“the wooden lake”). The first edition of Frostfeuernächte took place Febuary 20th and 21st 2015. Last year 21 bands from several Metal genres played on both festival days. Not only well-known acts shared the stage at the Frostfeuernächten: local and rather „small“ band had the opportunity to present their skills and their music to a larger audience. 2016 the festival will again take place on the grounds of the 'KiEZ Hölzerner See'. On this occasion 21 band will gather to help create a successful Metal weekend. When booking the bands the promoters stayed true to themselves offering the festival audience a broad genre spectrum.Friday, February 12th 2016, the „Unholy Thrash Day“ will be celebrated. Among others Black Thrashers 'Witching Hour' as well as 'Nocturnal Witch' will share the stage to make the walls of the venue tremble with their raw sound. Bands like 'The Gash', 'DRENCHED IN BLOOD', 'First Aid' and 'Rimruna' will join them. On Saturday, 14 bands will perform. 'Xicution', Death Metallers from Eberswalde / Germany will present their new record to the Frostfeuernächte fans, celebrating a boozy record release party.
A very unusual headliner will be the 'Dark Kasperle Theater', which fuses puppet theater, a bizarre story with brutal riffs and electronic interludes. Add a food fight with vegetables and fruit plus funny characters, which will not let a dry eye left in the house. For friends of Pagan and Folk Metal there also will be Adorned Brood, Finsterforst and Firtan whipping the masses into a frenzy. It is also important to mention that on both days a band contest will be held. Four slots are offered bands to apply. As February belongs to the cold season the Frostfeuernächte are an indoor festival. Visitors who plan to stay near the festival grounds over night have the opportunity to book accommodation, which is offered in two categories and has to be booked online in advance. (http://www.frostfeuernächte.de/?page_id=279). Catering will also be taken care of. Warm and cold dishes will be available at the common times for breakfast, lunch and diner. In addition there will be snacks available all day.
Weekend tickets for the Frostfeuernächte 2016 can be ordered online for 25€ each at (http://www.frostfeuernächte.de/?page_id=279). Weekend tickets will also be available at the door for 30€.
