Right in time for Christmas, a great band package for the 13th issue of the Rock am Härtzfeldsee festival from 19th to 20th June 2009 could be presented. Besides the one and only Rock Metal Queen DORO who’s conquered #11 on the German Album’s Chart with her new album ‘Fear No Evil’, many other popular acts enrich the line-up like the Finnish ENSIFERUM, the chart breakers END OF GREEN, or the Irish Speed-folkers FIDDLER’S GREEN… until now. Today we can announce one of the most popular Rock/Metal bands of our time as first headliner: EDGUY!Founded in 1992 as school band, they received their dreamed-of record deal a few years later. The 2001 release ‘Mandrake’ became a big hit eventually and laid the fundament for their first big headlining tour. In October 2003 the band released the killer song ‘King of Fools’. With the following album ‘Hellfire Club’ the band excelled themselves, gaining high chart notations as well. Following a short break the EP ‘Superheroes’ came out; Intended as an appetizer for the upcoming new album. ‘Rocket Ride’ stormed the charts worldwide in 2006. #8 alone in Sweden and Germany! Following two years of touring and Tobias Sammett’s project ‘Avantasia’ it was time for the next masterpiece: ‘Tinnitus Sanctus’ cracked the charts once more e.g. Top 20 in Germany. Currently EDGUY underpin their extraordinary live performance on the Tinnitus Sanctus World Tour 2009 outshining anything else.
