Five contemporary and different examples of rock music in the year 2006 will play at this summer’s Roskilde Festival. Placebo make a stop at Roskilde ’06. The band has been a recurring guest on the audience wish list, and now they are ready to provide their decadent and eruptive rock to a yearning audience. Finally, we are proud to present four vital acts who all show that rock music is alive and well in the North. Finnish Disco Ensemble, Norwegian JR Ewing, Swedish Opeth and finally VETO from Denmark will push the party further. Roskilde Festival is about music, and throughout the years we have presented a wide-ranging list of musical genres. But the most basic and fundamental of all genres is rock which has been the source of a wealth of variations and fusions though the years. With these five names in the line-up, the festival in 2006 is surely no exception.
