MILA MAR is universally fantastic. With an own language, driving rhythms, orchestral-melancholic staged, the four artists create a distinctive sound that suggests the Arctic Ocean would be in the Orient. Those who cannot or will not afford holidays in far-away countries or hallucinogenic drugs will find a satisfying replacement in the music of MILA MAR. The EP ‘HAIME’ is the first release of MILA MAR since 2003 and will be released digitally on April 20 and physically on May 4, 2018 via Space Bee Records.‘Fliedermoos’, ‘Rose’, ‘Asche’ and ‘Neptune’ tell archaic stories, soulful and without any comprehensible words. They are the past and future of this very own-sounding band. As the much acclaimed reunion in 2015 shows, MILA MAR has arrived at this time with oriental synthesizer sounds, violin, flute, African djembe, drums and the unusually versatile four octave vocals of Anke Hachfeld: “We want to open our hearts wide, because our music should be bigger than all the flat life.”
