THE FRAY enters the second round. The four guys from Denver release their second self-titled album at the end of March. Alone in the US, the debut album sold over 3 Mio times. The highly melodic hit singles ‘Cable Car (Over My Head)’ and ‘How To Save A Life’ found their way into the charts and hearts of people all over the world and last but not least into the soundtrack of TV sensation ‘Grey’s Anatomy’. The explosive career start was eventually crowned off with 3 Grammy nominations. With ‘You Found Me’, the first single from the upcoming new album is going to be released on 20th February 2009. The single entered the Top 30 regions of the airplay charts in almost no time and was made the trailer song of the brand new season of cult TV series ‘Lost’.

Just like the band history started naturally at the beginning of 2002 when former school colleagues Slade and King met in a guitar shop, the song ‘You Found Me’ starts pretty unexcited! Slade ponders on the piano about a long-lost but then regained soul and just like the rise of the band during the past years, the song grows from an intimate, reluctant start to a monumental opus with impressing guitar and drum sounds, accompanied by Slade’s pain-struck vocals.

“Many people know us because of 2 songs and both are pretty extreme; one’s pretty ‘up and the other is pretty ‘down’”, says Slade, singer and pianist of the band. He and King are the main songwriters in the band and amongst others wrote the two big hits. “The new album has more depth. To be able to write this kind of songs we needed to approach the thing with downright graveness and sobriety”, explains Slade. “We wanted to write songs that matter.”
