Normally, a jungle of cables and buttons on a complicated array of antiquated electronic sound generators would be any woman’s living nightmare. As for Marianthi and Sophie … they can’t have enough knobs, multicoloured faders and blinking LEDs. Put them behind an old analogue synthesizer and their creative spirit will spring to life at once… there can be no doubt about it: these ladies are in love with their machines. Under the moniker of Marsheaux, the two unleash a sonic universe full of multicoloured facets and with a distinctly feminine touch from their collection of old Moogs, Korgs and Rolands. While happily flirting with the appeal of Lolitaesque girlies, they also know well when to hit the mark with lascivious coolness. - Details

Dependent Records are to release the 3rd album, "1023" (ten twenty-three), from Rotersand. Expected for early June, the album holds a title that refers to the room number of a Detroit hotel the trio checked into during their US tour last year: "The atmosphere in this derelict, once luxurious but now forsaken hotel was both sinister and eeire. We felt as though we were in a combination of a surreal computer game and Stephen King's 'The Shining'." - Details

After having announced the title of the upcoming Epica album last week, this week we want to give you some more info on The Divine Conspiracy. The Divine Conspiracy will be Epica’s first full length concept album. This concept deals with the theory that, as a test, God created all kinds of different religions and released those upon humanity to see if they would be able to find the true nature of them, realizing that in all religions it is actually the same. But there’s more to it, it also concludes the “Embrace That Smothers” concept that could already be found on The Phantom Agony.
We also want to mention a special guest performance on this cd; Sander Gommans (After Forever & HDK) joined us in the studio to record some of his amazing grunts for one of the songs!
