The following announcement was made on Epica's homepage: "We are very happy to announce that we have signed a record deal with Nuclear Blast. Nuclear Blast is one of the biggest and most renowned record companies in metal and has already released albums of top bands like In Flames, Therion, Stratovarius, Children Of Bodom, Dimmu Borgir and Nightwish.
At the moment we are finishing up the recordings of the new album, which is scheduled for release around August/September this year. It was recorded again at the Gate Studio with renowned producer Sascha Paeth. This new album will feature the heaviest material of Epica so far.

Back in January we reported that Clan Of Xymox were planning a brand new MCD holding a coverversion of David Bowie's "Heroes" which frontman Moorings already performed at the WGT 2006 with Pink Turns Blue as the backing band. This has now been confirmed. Out on May 18th will be the MCD "Heroes". The song will come in two different versions, an industrial slow version which is closer to the Clan Of Xymox sound of the song and a pop version which is more of an homage to his time without the Clan. Als included on the 4-track MCD is "On a Mission", a brand new track. The 4th track is "Be My Friend", taken from the "Breaking Point" album and added here in a new mix. Elusive's "Dream on Sister", out on May 4th, is a limited 5 track CD single which acts as a pre-taster to the third full-length album "Locked Doors – Drinks & Funerals" to be released on May 18th via Pandaimonium. This single not only features special versions of 4 album tracks, but also the exclusive Depeche Mode cover "I Feel you". For your info, this single was mainly manufactured for promotional use so only few copies will be available for retail. The tracklist:Dream on Sisters (single version/edit)

Mesh' last album "We Collide" has been re-released in a limited edition featuring an exclusive bonus track on the Greek label Undo Records. This Greek version comes presented in a special fold-out packaging and holds, besides the hidden track "The World's A Big Place" found on other editions, also the exclusive bonus remix of "Crash" from Marsheaux. On this 4th album the band presented 12 tracks in the finest Mesh tradition which stands for absolute electropop perfection. You can purchase this special Greek edition below ! In related news, the band is currently working on new material for a new album. But before that, we will probably see a live DVD which was recorded in Krefeld at the Kulturfabrik on Saturday 27th January 2007. DOWN BELOW will play a special showcase on 6th May 2007 at the Moritzbastei in Leipzig / Germany. There, they will present songs from the upcoming album ‘Sinfony 23’ (release June 07) for the first time live. Furthermore, the show opens the festival season for DOWN BELOW. Tickets for that show can be purchased for only five euros and are available here or via phone at +49 (0)341- 7025910 as well as at all known box-offices in Leipzig. Besides that, DOWN BELOW will open as special guest for TYPE O NEGATIVE during their both German indoor shows of the ‘DEAD AGAIN TOUR’ in Berlin and Hamburg.
