Danish metal act MERCENARY just won the award for the “Album Of The Year” for their latest masterpiece “The Hours That Remain” (released via Century Media Records in August 2006) at this year’s Danish Metal Awards. Congratulations!After entering Denmark’s official album charts with “The Hours That Remains”, this is the next great success for MERCENARY, guitarist Jakob Mølbjerg comments: “On behalf of the band, I can only say it is a great honour to receive the Danish Metal Award for Album of the Year. Putting the beast together that is “The Hours that Remain” was an intense, uphill struggle with lots of obstacles and outside pressure. We're immensely proud of having pulled the whole damn deal off, and getting this recognition means a helluvalot. Cleveland based metallers CHIMAIRA are going to shoot their new video "Resurrection" on the 6th and 7th December around Los Angeles! Just send an email to After signing new deals with Nuclear Blast (Europe) and Dancing Ferret Music ( North America ), the new record is going to be released in early March 2007! "Resurrection" was recorded in October with Jason Suecof and Andy Sneap (MACHINE HEAD, ARCH ENEMY). Definitely legendary will be THERION´s special concert with a classical orchestra, set to take place December 9th in Bucharest / Romania . Next to new interpretations of THERION material, band plus orchestra and choir will perform pieces by Wagner, Verdi or Mozart. The band has posted this update regarding the upcoming tour and the new album: "It has been a while since any news... so here we go. We are getting ready for these upcoming 5 dates here in the North East right after Thanksgiving. Directly after those dates Roger will take out his Disasters for 4 shows premiering his "My Riot" album that was recently released on Sailors Grave Records. Those shows begin November 30th - December 3rd and are all in Southern West Coast ." "Just so you all know we have been working on a new record and have 10 songs already! We are set to start recording by February but right before that we will be doing 10 shows down the East Coast from Baltimore, MD to Orlando, FL. and look out Japan, Australia and New Zealand here we come! April is dedicated to those 3 countries! We will see Europe by end of 2007 and we will also visit other parts of the US ... p.s... somewhere in the mix South America will get concord!!! ...
