It has taken seven years for the festival to return to the wonderful Bergtheater in Thale! Corona and extensive renovations over several years made it impossible to hold Unter dem Himmel at this extraordinary venue. During this time, the open-air stage was comprehensively modernised and expanded. The seating capacity has been increased to approximately 1,900 seats.

The second weekend in August is reserved for M’era Luna Festival. If you think that it’s only about music, then you’re mistaken. It’s a gathering of old and new friends and music lovers coming from afar, a peaceful weekend outdoors at the campsite during the day and a raging party at night. It’s a cultural event offering us a medieval fair, interesting readings, an extravagant fashion show and shopping at the Gothic Fashion Town (clothing and accessory fair). Additionally, guests may delve into a wide range of different foods that far surpass the usual festival fair. In addition to fried classics, the food court offers savoury and sweet dishes from all over the world. And most importantly, the festival is a black celebration full of high-class music shows thanks to various, national and international acts of the scene who will grace the two stages, the main stage and the club stage.

The Swell Season - “UK & Europe” 2025

In the Irish independent music drama ‘Once’, Czech singer and pianist Markéta Irglová and Irish singer-songwriter and guitarist Glen Hansard (THE FRAMES) broke many hearts in 2008. Their self-titled debut album, ‘The Swell Season’, was released in 2006 and features ‘Falling Slowly’, ‘When Your Mind's Made Up’, ‘Lies’ and ‘Leave’, all of which appear in the film and made the duo world-famous. Following the release of the film, which was directed by John Carney, ‘Falling Slowly’ won an Oscar for Best Song at the 80th Academy Awards and was nominated for a Grammy. Today, both Hansard and Irglová are successful solo musicians who are reuniting for a reunion of THE SWELL SEASON. On their UK & Europe 2025 tour, the duo will also be coming to Cologne, Hamburg and Berlin to perform their greatest hits and indulge in romantic nostalgia with their fans.

In 2005, teenage trio THE SUBWAYS made a phenomenal breakthrough with their gold-certified debut album ‘Young For Eternity’. It set them on a path filled with highlights, including their cult classic ‘Rock & Roll Queen’, which became a staple on Rock radio and streaming playlists (now surpassing 100 million streams). The band embarked on extensive headline tours across the globe, particularly in the UK and Germany, playing 1,059 shows in over 40 countries - and much more. They also opened for icons such as OASIS, FOO FIGHTERS, and AC/DC, and played nearly every major festival imaginable - from Glastonbury’s Pyramid Stage to Reading and Leeds, as well as international giants like Rock am Ring / Rock im Park, Lollapalooza, and Sziget.
