The wait is over. At the end of February 2008, UNHEILIG will finally release their new album ‘Puppenspiel’, which is - thematically - the consequent continuation of what has begun with the last album ‘Moderne Zeiten’. Again DER GRAF (the count) dedicates himself to the human concerns and needs, often referred to autobiographic events from the past and the present and transfers it to the world of puppetry. The puppetry as a special form of acting was a very special challenge for DER GRAF on this conceptual album. He is able to play both, the part of the puppet master, who acts on the story and the part of the animated artefact, which is staged and bound to rigid mechanisms.

If we have to believe a recent Billboard/Reuters news article, EMI is about to loose another big fish along the Radiohead like no-label-street, namely UK synthpop legends Depeche Mode. According to the article Depeche Mode is one of 10 acts which are possibly going to dump their label for a different approach in releasing music. Not that the band has never tried the direct approach before; for their most recent 'Playing The Angel' tour, they released a limited set of almost 50 live 2CD's recorded at tens of cities worldwide giving fans the opportunity to purchase the concert they attended directly via the Mute subcompany Live Here Now. Knowing the very close relationship with Mute label founder Daniel Miller it is sure that the band was quite involved in the whole project.- Details

“Memento” rocks the dance floor. “Memento” is heavy duty. You will not get “Memento” out of your head again. “Memento” is different. On its second album, the Hamburg-based trio UnterArt does not give too much on clichés, conventions or being easily categorized. “Memento” is a club-compatible chameleon – a versatile and dark inferno, somewhere between Hard Electro, Industrial and raw, dark Synth Pop. Hard beat-stompers and aggressive shouts alternate with atmospheric sounds and catchy melodies. For the first time in Diary Of Dreams history, the band will release a strictly limited edition vinyl record. Nekrolog 43 Redux, available from 24 January 2008, will feature eight selected tracks of the Nekrolog 43 CD. The most special thing about this vinyl version is the fact that it will come as a picture disc with full illustration on both sides. One side features the classic Diary Of Dreams logo, the other side is decorated with the scream picture of the album cover. And what’s more, it has a gatefold sleeve which offers loads of space to enjoy the spectacular illustrations and lyrics on a large scale. - Details

Presented by Sonic Seducer:It is going to be a huge premiere of something entirely new: "Rappacinis Tochter" (Rappacini's Daughter), the first gothic musical ever will have it's world-premiere on January 24th at Delphi Showpalast in Hamburg (known by a recent undercover concert by Nightwish). The music has been written by Alexander Hunzinger and the band Aeternitas, known by their releases Requiem (2000) and La Danse Macabre (2004).
For their latest production they chose to join forces with Sandra M. Heinzelmann to create the story based on a gothic-novel by Nathaniel Hawethorne and stage the scenes starring the band and additional singers. During 2007 the team was expanded by a costume designer, a stage designer and a make-up artist to complete the musical production.
