IRON MAIDEN will start their “Somewhere back in time” Tour in 2008, that will lead them through Europe, Asia, North and South Africa and for the first time for over 15 years to Australia for some shows and it will only feature material from that time up to and including the “Seventh Son of a Seventh Son“ album. The only show in Germany will be the one at the Wacken Open Air. The band will travel with a 60 man crew and 12 toms of equipment in a Boeing 757 especially designed for them, with Bruce Dickinson himself as a pilot. This tour is called “Somewhere back in time” because of the upcoming DVD release including the classic “Live after Death” and “Maiden England” concerts, which will be released in spring 2008 and the legendary Egyptian stage, created with elements of the “Somewhere in time” Tour like the Cyborg Eddie.

Legendary drummer Paul Bostaph (ex-EXODUS, ex-SLAYER) will join the ranks alongside originating classic thrash legends TESTAMENT - Chuck Billy on vocals, Alex Skolnick on lead guitar, Eric Peterson on rhythm guitar and Greg Christian on bass. Unfortunately Nick Barker will not be recording with TESTAMENT on this new album, due to Homeland Security and International Work Visa issues. Rather than delaying this long awaited return of TESTAMENT, the band has chosen to recruit Paul Bostaph, long time friend and member, to record on the much anticipated album, which is tentatively scheduled for a spring 2008 release via Nuclear Blast.
