Obituary and Samael, maybe on the first sight a strange package. The masters of old scool death metal share the stage with an eccentric band. Both bands stood on the German festival 'Wacken Open Air' and both impressed the people. Obituary in the afternoon with a raw and uptempo sound and Samael as headliner in a more modest way, but not less powerfull. Already many tickets are sold: this special package is realy a good start of 2006!

After this year's X-mass we were happy to receive an e-mail from Nightwish' drummer Jukka finally reveiling his son's name to the world. As he says in his mail: "His name might lead us to think that he is a potential bassist but I'd prefer him to be a drummer. After all "Drums are the instruments of Gods".=)"

While Mesh are busy preparing for the release of the new single and album next year, they have now also announced the content of the promosingle for "Crash". "Crash" will be the first single from the new album "We collide". The promo-single has been sent out to clubs in Germany already and holds the following tracklist: an original version, the Alien Six Kerosene remix and the Mesh Collision mix, the latter two being real clubsmashers so we could judge from a first listen. "Crash" will for sure please the fans with the mix of guitars, synth- and dancelayers that are the trademark for Mesh. The final version of the single is due to be released on 24th February 2006 and will also contain two new songs which won’t be on the album. A video for "Crash" was shot in Dusseldorf last week by Mark Feuerstake whom the band work with previously for the "Not Prepared" video filmed in Brighton, UK. The final edit is due early in January. The clip will be submitted to German TV stations during January/early February. A few behind the scenes photos are in the Gallery on the band's website at www.mesh.co.uk . The album "We collide" will be released on 31st March 2006 by Koenigskinder Records Hamburg, distributed by SPV Hannover. In tour news, the majority of the "We Collide" Tour is now booked and starts 21st April 2006. The special guests and additional dates will be announced later. Source: www.side-line.com

Finland's NIGHTWISH, who recently parted ways with longtime frontwoman Tarja Turunen, have issued the following statement via their official web site:"Several [media outlets] have spread information about a new singer of NIGHTWISH but every single word has been a lie. We ask people not to believe everything that is told. We are not searching for a new singer yet and any kind of negotiations with any singer has NOT yet seen daylight."
As previously reported, Spinefarm Records has set a June 7, 2006 release date for the upcoming "End of an Era" CD/DVD release from NIGHTWISH. "End of an Era" will contain footage of NIGHTWISH's final concert with Turunen, which took place on October 21 at the Hartwall arena in Helsinki, Finland.
